Agree the measures up front

For each workflow we set the handful of measures that matter to the business, such as cycle time, cost per transaction, capacity or response time, and record where they stand today.

Measure, then expand

After a controlled deployment, outcomes are compared with that baseline. What works is extended to adjacent work. What does not is changed or stopped, with the evidence to explain why.
